Vocal tuition

A specialist teacher, with 25 years' experience and an MA in voice pedagogy, Olivia is a sought-after vocal coach and singing teacher, with considerable expertise in several fields:

Adults

Olivia teaches both current and aspiring West End performers, as well as those who wish to improve their singing as adults. A vocal health expert, Olivia works with both professional singers and adult beginners to help them overcome problems that inhibit their singing. Olivia uses extensive knowledge of the vocal mechanism to find long-term solutions and rebuild healthy, resilient voices, particularly with those who have experienced voice loss or deterioration through trauma or aging. If you think you have a problem with your voice, book a consultation to discuss the issues.

Children ~ Teenagers ~ Students

Olivia has considerable experience working with children and teenagers, and is an expert in teenage voice-change. Olivia dedicates a day a week to teaching those hoping to pursue singing professionally at university, conservatoire, or at a specialist performing arts college. To help you  prepare for your audition, Olivia will assist with appropriate repertoire choice, help with the application paperwork, prepare you to demonstrate your voice to its best advantage, and offer mock audition practice. Olivia has current (2026) experience of successfully preparing students for performing arts college (e.g. The Wilkes Academy of Performing Arts; Italia Conti; Trinity Laban; Bird College Conservatoire for dance and musical theatre) and Oxford University (including choral scholarship audition preparation), with several students currently applying for 2027 entry.

Professional child performers

Olivia will support your child currently performing in the West End, in regional theatres, or fulfilling their role as a cathedral chorister or probationer chorister. Working with the young person, Olivia will help them to understand their voice better and provide a clear and uncomplicated regime for optimum voice-health during their time as a professional child performer.

Olivia provides a bespoke service and is keen to work with students to set goals according to their individual needs. Working from her home studio in Hampshire, Olivia teaches in-person for the majority of the time but is able to teach online when necessary. It is also possible to engage Olivia as a vocal coach for a day to advise, for example, in the recording studio, or to work with you in your home or performance venue.
